Presentation and stealth  are the keys to success while fishing for wild brown trout.  These lines, designed and tested by successful wild brown trout anglers, are the perfect choice. By choosing  to use Wildfisher lines you will have a line that performs brilliantly in any of the changing conditions you encounter.

Choice is always down to individual preference, but if you need some help here are a few suggestions:

Short casting from a boat? Then choose a Wildfisher DT or a Wilfisher Stream Stealth
Need to get out beyond the reed bed? Then a WF profile is for you.
Roll casting with a high bank behind you?  Then it’s got to be a Wildfisher DT.
River or small stream fishing? Try a Wildfisher Stream Stealth.

With most other fly lines being developed for use on stocked waters, it's difficult to know whether the tackle you use will perform as well on a remote Highland Loch or a river full of spookey wild trout. Wildfisher fly lines have been designed to outperform other lines where you need a fly line that copes with the many changing conditions encountered on wild waters, lines that are equally at home in a squall or a flat calm, lines that allow you the angler to outwit the wily wild brown trout.  Buy a Wildfisher line and you will know it was money well spent.

We do not waste your money on annoying, unnecessary and environmentally damaging packaging such as boxes and plastic spools that end up in land fills. By saving on this  packaging, we are able to keep the price of our fly lines low,  pass the saving on to you and reduce your impact on the environment. We do not charge V.A.T. which saves customers a further 20%

Transferring Your New Fly Line Onto Your Fly Reel.
If this is done incorrectly you will be left with coils or twists in your line. Wildfisher Fly Lines do not coil or have memory if you are left with coils or twists in a new line it will always be due to incorrect loading of line.

NEVER load a fly line by allowing the line to fall off the side of the supplied coil of line in the manner of a fixed spool reel.

ALWAYS
wind the line off the supplied coil onto your reel by allowing the coil to turn as if you were transferring the line from one fly reel to another. If you do this correctly your line will have no coils or memory Please see the video below.

No replacements / refunds will be given due to coiled
lines or twisted lines.  Please ensure you load the line onto your reel correctly. Please also ensure you order the correct colour and profile of line.

The Wildfisher Highland White2010Aug071281185756highland
Our Highland White fly line offers the angler a very visible line while the light grey tint still subtly reduces line flash whilst casting. These lines were designed primarily with the wild loch fisher in mind, but are equally suitable for any still water, river or low light situation where the angler wishes to monitor even the slightest movement of the line or leader. A supple, smooth line coating and a versatile general purpose profile. A great all round fly line

The WF lines have a fine running line for low friction line shooting.

The Wildfisher River Don2010Aug071281185671don-2
The subtle heron grey of our River Don range of floating lines has been chosen to provide the best combination of visibility to the angler and lack of fish-spooking line flash when casting, especially important when in pursuit of wary wild trout, be it on a New Zealand spring creek, a crystal clear limestone loch or just down on your local river.
A supple, smooth line coating and a versatile general purpose profile. A great all round fly line

The Wildfisher Stream Stealthss
Our Stream Stealth floating line has the same subtle heron grey colour as our very popular River Don model but with a brand new slick coating and a profile designed for short to medium range fishing. The head is shorter and the profile designed to move the weight farther forward thus allowing easier loading with short line lengths. This is a great line for river fishing and especially useful in overgrown conditions where back cast space may be limited. The profile design and the all new slick coating allows the angler to fish at close range one minute and quickly extend and shoot line to cover a more distant fish the next. A great line for carbon, glass fibre and split cane rods.   Available  WF#2 to WF#7

Wildfisher Fly Lines proprietor Fred Carrie and many customers now use this line for all styles of fly fishing. The short head and slick coating have proven to be a winning combination on lakes and lochs as well as rivers. The stability and shooting potential of the Stream Stealth line is really quite exceptional. If you have high banks behind you limiting your back-cast it is a must!
